About the Role:
We’re looking for a dependable, people-oriented Healthcare Office Assistant to be a key support to our clinical team. In this role, you’ll work alongside our physician, nurse practitioner, and physical therapist to help patients move smoothly through their care — from check-in to therapy to follow-up. You’ll be a familiar, friendly face for our patients and a vital part of keeping the clinic running well. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants hands-on experience in a specialized healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the physician, nurse practitioner, and physical therapist in preparing for and supporting patient appointments and therapy sessions.
- Help patients through their therapy routines under the direction of clinical staff, including setup, guidance on exercises, and use of equipment.
- Greet and check in patients, manage scheduling, and coordinate appointments and follow-ups.
- Prepare treatment rooms and equipment, ensuring a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the clinic’s system.
- Handle phone calls, patient inquiries, insurance verification, and general front-office tasks.
- Support the clinical team with day-to-day administrative and patient-flow needs.
- Uphold patient privacy and comply with HIPAA and all clinic policies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional healthcare or administrative training a plus.
- Prior experience in a medical office, clinic, or healthcare support role preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and scheduling systems a plus, especially Chirotouch.
- Comfortable assisting patients directly and working as part of a clinical team.
- Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
- Warm, patient-focused attitude and genuine care for helping others.
- Reliability, professionalism, and attention to detail.
- CPR certification or willingness to obtain [if required]
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly pay: $16–$21/hour, commensurate with experience and certification].
